For a year out of culinary school I worked for a wedding cake shop in NYC that specialized in making handmade sugar flowers. I learned how to hand shape each petal, assemble, paint, and arrange flowers on cakes. I never thought of myself as an artist until I started making flowers. As a way to continue to making the flowers without starting my own wedding cake shop, I opened a store on Etsy!
